Election and IPL

IPL, the most popular reality show in India is overcast by uncertainty. Why? Because time period of IPL and Parliament General Election coincides. Only the time period, not the dates!! But several state governments have disagreed with the IPL schedule to host the matches in their states due to security reason and the home ministry of central government has asked the IPL Committee to alter the dates accordingly. The state governments have already informed of their helpless condition to provide security to the IPL matches and cricketers, as all the security personnel will be engaged in election. The political leaders need security and they are much more important persons than cricketrs for the 'welfare' of the country. "Once parliament election has been declared, nothing is more important than that" - we have already received such strong message from Election Commission of India. Of course. We, the common people, know election is the most important stair to the politicians to attain their salvation. Election is the most vibrant occurance to show the power of beurocracy. So nothing must not be more important than election.
Definitely, from cricket point of view, IPL is nothing but a open market auction show where cricketrs are used as commodities and their value depends on their performance, only. That's a different question. But, we can't deny that IPL has brought a different type of ammusement. People got refreshed in the evening after having a tiring day session in their work field. Others may agree of differ with me, but to me, it was a great recreation. In the present situation, IPL may not be on stage this year. If so, we, the people of India will be deprived due to another fruitless election.

Can't agree with you more.........
However I believe its the postponement of IPL that made the Election even more popular to the apolitical and pro-IPL people. There is one thing that we all must keep in mind - Election is the greatest success of democracy, We, no matter how small contribute to make a better future for us and our country by exercising our vote. Citizens in some countries are devoid of any such rights...
