"We will remain student till end"

The outcome of the most devastating fire tragedy of Kolkata at Stephen's Court at Park Street is that the Mayor of Kolkata Corporation and the Fire-Brigade Minister both are still at learning stage.
The Mayor says that taking lesson from this incident, it has been decided to form a committee to vigil the multi-storied buildings and monitor whether any illegal construction is there, and at the same time whether any fire-fighting system has been installed etc. etc...... Another committee means again an arrangement to send the matter to cold storage. Our experience regarding committee is just like this. Most of the committees never complete their job. If any committee complete their report and submit it to the Government, or any other civic body, the higher authority mostly reject the report, because, if they somehow agree with the report, it will prove the inefficiency and other lacunae of that body.
The Fire-Brigade Minister was much more interested and showed unnatural efficiency to lodge FIR against CAB and KKR management in connection with construction of temporary gallery, as it gave him easy visual media mileage, that to take any step against illegally constructed high rises, or building or slum area where huge quantity of highly inflammable articles stored illegally. He says that he has learned a lesson from this fire.
This is true that there is no end of learning. And so those two important Office-bearer probably followed the directive of the King of Hirok "attempt to learn is nothing but wastage of time." The Park Street incident again showed that the Office-bearers of Govt. of West Bengal, Kolkata Police, Kolkata Corporation and other related civic bodies are basically very bad student and at the same time back-bencher too. At the time of learning, they pass their time in leisure and when such devastating accident occurs, they chew the fag end of the pencil and finally fail. We, the Kolkatans, should sing that song "How many people have to face their death, before you learn your lessons?!"

The Kolkata Inferno

Again and another devastating fire hit kolkata. This time Kolkatans are not so fortunate. 19 families have to face tremendous death blow so far. Who are those 19 persons? They are none but like us, common people, whose lives are in the hand of callous, backbone less, corrupt administration and power-crazy, worthless politicians. Almost every week such incident have been broken out at different corner of Kolkata. Everytime, the same drama repeats. Useless statement from fire-brigade minister, setting up of an investigation team for eye washing, voice raised by the opposition just to get political mileage...... and we are waiting for "who will be the next victim?" The whole Kolkata has been covered by illegal electric and cable wiring. Most of the high rises are either illegally constructed or constructed without following proper norms. There is no harassment to pass the plan of such construction as there is deal under the table. Any person who wants to pass the construction plan in legal and proper way, has to wait never ending period. All the political parties are shutting down their eyes because such under the table dealings increase their party fund.... and we? The Kolkatans??? What we are doing???? Worshiping those Dadas and Didis as if they are saviors of Kolkatans. And at the end of the day??? we are the victims, our friend, our mom, our dad, our lover, our brother, our sister, our spouse have to face such brutal death.....
